Who is Dr. J. Shafer
Joseph Shafer has practiced as a chiropractor since graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1980.

He graduated cum laude from Louisiana State University before earning his doctorate.

At Louisiana State, he studied international law, history and psychology.

After graduating from Palmer, Dr. Shafer and his then-wife moved to Denmark. He continued to study Applied Kinesiology, Nutrition and Sports Medicine.

In 1989 he became a certified sports medicine physician and in 1990 a diplomate in Applied Kinesiology.

From 1986 to 1990, he was one of Team Denmark's official specialized doctors on call to treat elite athletes. In 1989, he supported athletes in the World Games in Karlsruhe, Germany. In 1990 he was team doctor for "Nissan Performance" at Le Mans and also in 1991 and 92 at the Daytona Beach 24-hour endurance races.

From 1991 he was regularly invited to speak and lecture in Moscow and in Novokuznetsk, Russia. In 1993, he was awarded an assistant professorship (HON) at the Novokuznetsk School of Post-graduate Medicine, and in 2004 he was awarded professor status at the School of Post-graduate Social and Rehabilitative Medicine, Moscow.
Dr. Shafer has developed several diagnostic and therapeutic techniques that are widely used by physicians, chiropractors, osteopaths and physical therapists. One of these is the Brain Recovery System. Currently, this is his great passion and after having seen the most difficult patients at various locations in Belgium in 2021-23 and having gained much experience with the system, he is now lecturing throughout Europe, America and Australia.
